Life is so fragile. At times, you are going along at breakneck speed and then life throws you a curve.
My nephew was killed on Friday in a horrible accident at work. He is survived by his wife, Samantha and their 1yr old son Logan. Please keep them in your prayers.
This reminds us all to know and live the real reason for the season.
More later.
What makes a Happy Home? I love to take care of my family. For me, creating a home that is warm and inviting, where everyone feels welcome is pure joy! The smell of fresh laundry just in off the clothesline, a neat and tidy home and garden, a good home cooked meal, a few desserts here and there, the love of family, friends and fellowship all help to make our home a Happy Home. Join me as we celebrate the holidays, the birthdays and the every days!

Wow, who new blogging could be so much fun!
Today I've added the Rudolph Day Blog Ring. This is a listing of other bloggers who have deemed the 25th Rudolph Day. Be sure to check out their blogs, they are filled with great ideas. I also managed (with the help of my younger son ~ Bryan) to add a photo to the site as well. I'm really proud of myself.

Thinking ahead to April 25
- I've decided to purchase a 3 ring binder for the Recipe Book and scrap the cover. I'll begin the search for our Christmas Cookies recipes first, then move on to candy. Last year I made 20 different kinds of cookies, with about 3 or 4 batches each, (depending on the yield). I love to share.
- I've also decided to accept Ginger's April Rudolph Day Challenge. So, I'll review my Master Christmas Gift list and beside each person's name, I'll write at least 2 gift ideas.
I would love to add to this month's to do list, however I know my limitations.

A Traditional Christmas
My family is all about tradition. Every year, I basically make the same cookies, cakes, food gifts, etc. with a few new ones added here and there.
In an attempt to become more organized and save time, I've decided to create a Chrismas Recipe Book. This would be dedicated to any food associated to our Christmas Season.
