What makes a Happy Home? I love to take care of my family. For me, creating a home that is warm and inviting, where everyone feels welcome is pure joy! The smell of fresh laundry just in off the clothesline, a neat and tidy home and garden, a good home cooked meal, a few desserts here and there, the love of family, friends and fellowship all help to make our home a Happy Home. Join me as we celebrate the holidays, the birthdays and the every days!

Celebrating Me at The Old Parsonage

Today is celebrate me day. Last year I adopted this tradition but didn't quite keep up with it. Every month on the 7th (representing my birthday) I try to do something to celebrate me. Whether it's a special treat , just taking some time for myself or... whatever. It's something that I encourage all of you to do. We give and give and do an do. But try to take 1 day per month and do something that makes you happy, something that you want to do, not have to do. So tonight, I'm scheduling some time in my craft studio to just have fun! What will you do?

And yes, the tree came down yesterday, all that's left is this sweet smelling pile of pine needles. I know, I know, people might say - just sweep i it - but you get it. Right? Have a wonderful day, I know that I plan to!

It's nice to find that special time for ourselves. Relax, treat yourself, do nothing, find yourself....whatever!
Do something fabulous today...It's your DAY!

Oh I DO like that idea!.. a Celebrate Me day could be on the 10th of every month!.. I'll have to think about this, and of what I can do that day.. Actually, it's kind of a nice idea for the whole family. Each "me" day, whichever "me" who's celebrating, gets to pick out their favorite meal for dinner, with their favorite dessert maybe!!.. Pick out a movie they might want to go to, etc., etc.!! I LIKE this! ~tina

Today I start my photography class! I am so excited. That will be my "me" time - only I'm doing it once a week! Does that make me greedy? :)
I know how wonderful it feels to just sit in our special space and create. You'll have a wonderful relaxing time - ENJOY!
Happy New Year! Karen

Good idea to celebrate ourselves and find something daily to give us joy. For me, today, it was a 45 minute swim at the Girls Club pool before starting my busy day! Thanks for the nice post. Sincerely, Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com

Your idea of taking a day each month to "celebrate me" is golden.
Even just to go out to a coffee shop, or watch the songbirds on my patio in their antics at the feeder.
Good idea.

Great idea!! I 'll start this year! I get it about the pine. My wreath will fall off the door before I get it down I'm sure. It still isn't even shedding!!!!
Hope your me day was great!

Oh my! What a wonderful idea! I think I need to do this also and start this month. Well, I already have a hair appointment on my birth day so I guess I'm heading in the right direction. He he!

Thanks for the great idea!
