Treasures

This week Bob the postman left a special package on our front porch. It was a wonderful gift from a treasured friend and fellow blogger. Debbie @ Ribbonwood Cottage sent me a terrific recipe keeper, she know me so well. I can't wait to fill it full of our family favorites old and new.

I've been looking for a chair for my craft studio for quite sometime. And just on the off chance that our local thrift store might have one this week, I popped in during my lunch break yesterday. BINGO! Not only did they have one, but two chairs just my style. I was afraid that they would be over priced as a lot of items are. They sold me both for $45, so into my CRV they went!

Not sure if that was a good deal, I just know that I saw a similar one this weekend for $50. What do you think?

This week I'm joining Cindy from My Romantic Home for Show & Tell. Be sure to stop by an see what she and others are sharing. Thanks Cindy!

No you did awesome!! The cain bottoms look in great shape and that is really hard to do and so it is expensive to have replaced. ANY chair less than $50 is a deal so 2 for $45 is really really great! ENJOY!! How fun to have a new recipe book!
Hugs, Lisa

I think you did well to buy both chairs for under $50 and the caning is in good shape too.

Oh LeAnn Sweetie...
You did great. I love these chairs. I would have raced you down the aisle to buy them. I am so thrilled that you found them. Now you have one for the purpose you searched and an extra for another corner in need. I love chairs. With a pillow or teddy sitting in them, they are so homey.

Thanks for sharing tonight. Thank you also for stopping by. I am so tickled that you loved my writing. I was pleased when I finished it. I love looking at our hands. Now if my Moma had been here visiting we would have 4 generations of hands. I may take a picture of hers and mine this summer, and then cut and paste my daughter and grand daughters into the picture. Where there is a will, there is a way.

Have a beautiful Friday sweetie. Country hugs and so much love, Sherry

The main thing is that by you snatching them up, YOU thought they were a good deal. WOO-HOO! Now you can have a craft friend join you...now that's a good thing.
And go ahead try one of the burlap hearts, they ARE fun and so easy to make with just what's around. Improvise!
Happy Friday Blessings ;-)

Well, I LOVE them! Glad you found them! I'm looking for an extra chair myself, but around here, garage sale and estate sale shopping is not exactly in season right now. Looking forward to when it IS!.. LOVE your new recipe book! ~tina

Great deal on the chairs. I sold one similar a couple years ago. Caining in excellent shape, but some of the joints were a little wobbly.

Love the chairs!! They look antique and so nice....not bad for $22.50 each! If you are happy with them thats all that matters! Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it!
