What makes a Happy Home? I love to take care of my family. For me, creating a home that is warm and inviting, where everyone feels welcome is pure joy! The smell of fresh laundry just in off the clothesline, a neat and tidy home and garden, a good home cooked meal, a few desserts here and there, the love of family, friends and fellowship all help to make our home a Happy Home. The Big Boy

I'm really missing Adam and Jade. That's another reason for me to countdown to Christmas, they'll be coming home to visit!!! While planning my cookies and such I made a list of favorite meals for both the boys (men) and Chelsea and Jade too.I can't wait to cook big meals again. This week has been pretty shabby - 2 chicken breasts, 2 pork chops, a salad, etc. - so sad for me. Bucky a friend from work told me I can cook for her and Mike. I might just send baked goods their way, since I can't send anything to my parents. My Dad has willpower, but sometimes he slips and I don't want to see his sugar spike.

Speaking of holidays, is anyone planning something fun for Labor Day? I actually get a longer weekend because the day after Labor Day is my Birthday and we get our birthday off as a paid holiday! I'll spend the day with my Mum in Lancaster (it's tradition). We go out for breakfast, then shop, have lunch and shop some more. This year we'll be home by supper time as the next day is a work day, but some years we've been out 'til dark.

Looking forward...

You have lovely plans, for Labor Day. :-)

Around here, not much changes, for this kind of holiday. The usual Sunday Family Dinner, which is full of traditional Labor Day foods... That's about it. :-)

My big plans for Labor day is to labor. I am opening the shop until 3 by myself while hubby golfs. I am sure you will have a happy birthday with your mom. That's a nice tradition.

Leann, I'm right there with you! Missing Chickie, my one and only!
I'll be driving to pick her up and taking her back to college for Labor Day weekend. So those are my plans for that.
Yes, I would bake cookies and things every week for her. So today I will bake some to send to her tomorrow.....Miss that baking..

I haven't cooked in so long it's ridiculous. But only from laziness and being so busy with everything else. Christmas will be here before you know it!

Wish I could go with you to Lancaster. It sounds like lots of fun!!
