SpRinG

I love spring! It is my second favorite season after fall. Nothing is overgrown, and there are hardly any weeds to contend with. The air still has a crispness to it and we can have the windows wide open. I know that I've told you before, but summer and I don't do well. It gets so hot and humid here and I melt:)

Thanks so much for all the well wishes. I am feeling better but still not 100%. This Hull vase was a recent find at Adamstown weekend before last. There was a slight chip in the bottom so it was marked down and then the woman gave me an additional 10% off - YIPPEE!! It's a similar version of the one that was my Nan's, so I had to get it. The daffodils were free from the backyard, we have hundreds of them. Spring flowers are another reason to love spring. Although in the past few years I seem to have developed allergies and everything coming into bloom gives me headaches. No matter, they are still lovely and Claritin does the trick.

This vase was my Nan's. I love seeing it full of flowers. I can't remember her having ever used it. I always wondered why, it seemed a waste to have such a pretty vase and not have flowers in it. I love pairing it with my Lefton lambs, they go together like jam and bread.

My Mum and I went to Home Goods on Saturday. What fun, there's one about 5 minutes away and the bargains are terrific. I got a few scatter rugs, a new pillow and some other odds and ends. I'm trying to lighten things up a bit for spring. The weather was warmer this weekend and today it's supposed to get to 80 degrees - the toes are out! Just wish I didn't have to head to work.

Gotta run...have a wonderful day!

I love the vase, the flowers, and especially the lambs. I'm just getting over the allergy phase. We hit a whoppin 88 degrees yesterday. I turned on the air! We are back into the 60's today, and I WILL NOT complain for warmer weather!

Oh LeAnn Sweetie...
The vases are just beautiful and how gorgeous to see them filled with flowers. I love the one you paired with the lambs, be still my little heart.

Love that rabbit under the cloche. He appears to be saying, "Hey let me out, Easter is coming, I have work to do." I love Home Goods and haven't been in a while. I must go this week on my day off.

My toes are out today as well. I am a flip-flop/sandal girl all the way.

Have a glorious Monday sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

I love the vase and your beautiful flowers. Like your Nan, I have vases and things put up and never use them. I finally decided I wanted to get some joy out of using these beautiful pieces. I have finally started dragging them out and enjoying them.
I love spring too! I wish we could just fast forward summer and get straight to fall though!
Hope you have a wonderful week!

It's been awhile since my last visit so where do I start? LOL First of all tell FlyBoy I said congrats & since I have grown sons, yes I do understand why that was the best shot of him w/ his shirt that you got. You're lucky you didn't have to take it w/ it draped across a chair. ;)

I have that same Giving Thanks S&P shaker you have on your new tablecloth...I have 2 pairs actually & they've been on every Thanksgiving table for years.

Third, I'm reallly reallllly envious of your lefton lambs.

OK, I gotta go see if I can find any hyacinths.

I love that vase! It's really beautiful.

Our flowers are just beginning to pop through the earth. It will be a few more weeks before my Tulips bloom-I can't wait!

Hi Leann...Oh, I LOVE Home Goods. Just love that store. Your lambie pies are darling. I love spring and fall, too, much more than hot, sticky summer (when I run into air-conditioned rooms). Take care. Susan

Glad you are better!

Like you, I melt when it gets hot/humid.

You got allergies with age too?!? But you are too young for that!

You can have flowers in the house? We can't. -sigh-

Gentle hugs,
.♥.

Oh wow, that vase really is very similar to the one that was your nan's! Great find:-) I can't wait until my daffodils and tulips are blooming, it will probably be another couple of weeks before they are. It actually went up in the 50's today, the warmest it's been so far this year...woohoo!! To us, 50 is warm! lol

Love your bunnies, they're all adorable. xoxo

Hi Leann,

Hope you are feeling better. yes, the allergy season is kicking in. Love your vase! I don't do well in the heat either. Spring and fall are my favorites too! My dear friend wants me to mov to Florida. I would love to, but I don't like the heat, and I would miss the snow. Oh, man did I just say that? lol

hugs,
Debbie

What a sweet find. Looks so pretty with all your springiness. I love those vintage pieces, but I have yet to get one. I had a reproduction, but it just wasn't the same. Things are certainly bright and cheery!

Your sweet vase and lil lamb are doing it for me today! I so love little lambikins!

You had asked if my choc bunnies were real ~ nope, none of them are. If they were they wouldn't last 2 seconds around here! I'm a chocoholic among other things!

Big TX Hugs,
