Don't Ask... Don't Tell

If Mr OP knows that a recipe is considered low-fat he gets a preconceived notion that it probably won't taste that good. So, over the course of 25 years I've learned a thing or two...and that's "if he don't ask, I don't tell."

Such was the case for this light and airy banana cream pie. It took me about 5 minutes to make and was easy peasy - my kind of recipe for a hot summer day. The heat and humidity is back and will be here through Friday - so the house is like a dungeon with all the windows closed and the shades drawn.

Flyboy will be home Saturday for Chelsea's graduation party - can't wait to see him! I've got a list a mile long of his favorite foods to make and send back to school with him. Did I mention that he's not coming home for the summer? He's taking the next flight course over the summer to speed things up.

Enjoy your week my friends!

I think all *Mama's* should always cook like this! No need to TELL all which goes on in "Recipe Land." (Like in Vegas, ya' know!) -gigggles-

I could do this, for a Sun. Family Dinner night, but 'Uncle A.' wouldn't care for it. 'Cause he wants my from-scratch pie crusts, and Cool Whip bothers his tummy. -pout-

Banana Cream pie is one of my favorites. My Mom always made the best Banana Cream pie and my Dad and I fought over it.

Lately I am all about low fat, or fat free. I have been enjoying nanas in my protein shakes. Blessings~

Everyone is the same over here. If they know that it's lower fat, or healthy, they won't like it!

That's too bad that Fly Boy won't be home. But, at least he'll be back for the graduation! That's good news. :)

That pie looks delish!!! and my husband would always ask so that's out over here... If it tastes even the slightest bit different he'll know...

Sounds good to me, Leann. Do you have a small air conditioner? When ours is installed in the living room, that's where I'm parked, when I'm home. Ha ha Take care and try to stay cool. Susan

That looks like a great recipe! I need to remember to make those types of desserts now that it's so hot.

Please share your pie recipe!

It's hot here, too. I hate this part of summer :(
