I've been wanting to show you the wonderful birthday gifts from a few of my friends at work. They are such stinkers - as soon as I was how everything was wrapped, I guessed where the presents came from. Gifts were individually wrapped in old sheet music, book pages and seam binding.

Look at the beautiful vintage wallpaper border - those roses are soo dreamy. There were several old paying cards as well as a bridge score pad too.

This bag was full of all kinds of ephemera. There was also a bunch of paper milk caps, a small reader dated 1907 and some fun bling. Did you guess where they got everything from yet? Karla's Cottage that's where! I love her blog and her shop is chock full of vintage goodness!

Speaking of friends, our neighbor Maryanne popped over tonight with this gorgeous wreath. Isn't it beautiful? Her niece sent it to her and it was supposed to have a candle in it, but the candle wasn't included. so they sent her another one instead of just sending her the candle. She decided that she didn't need both and gave us the original one.
I plopped it on the corner of this chair in the foyer and think it looks fab so that's where it's gonna stay:)Wishing all of you MY FRIENDS a wonderful weekend!

Happy Belated Birthday - and I'm sure it was with such lovely gifts! Now, just what are you planning to do with all those wonders - create something new? Collage? Do tell!
Blessings!
Joy!

Love that gorgeous wreath! Did I miss your birthday? Happy belated birthday! I miss being able to check in on my bloggy friends more frequently. You work with some sweeties! They knew just what to get you.
That wreath would look perfect anywhere!
Lovely all!!!
Ohhhhh that wreath...
Oh and Leann, if you get the time and feel like it, would you please send me an email, concerning "The Hidden"?
If you like it or if you did not. Not everyone likes the ending of every trilogy, of course. And we have a perfect right to wish we could *write our own ending,* etc.
But I'd love to hear from someone else who read the books. I know my Granddaughter and I love them, but... No other adults. -giggles-
I'm sure you'd agree, a lot of adults don't know what they are missing, if they never dip a toe into YA Lit, though. :-)
Gentle hugs,
"O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away."
- Robert Frost, October
