Stick a Fork in Me

I'm done... well the cookies are done! This year I made (4) different kinds of candies and 18 different kinds of cookies. (double and triple batches). I delivered 7 trays last night and the rest are due this week.

Mr. OP got the bathroom painted, the only thing left is to paint the trim and hang the new towel bars, etc. I can't tell you how excited I am. I chose a steel grey color that actually looks more blue to me. But, I'm not going to complain - it's done (or at least will be done) before Christmas.

I cleaned the spare room, just have to wash the sheets and comforter and the room will be ready for our Texans. The only that that I have left to do for Christmas (besides going to the market) is finish the scrapbooks for the guys. I have about 10 pages left for our Fireman and 20 for Flyboy. They WILL be finished by Christmas!

I hope that you are all checking those last minute things off your lists and are taking time to really enjoy this wonderful season of "the greatest gift."

What do you have left to do?

Your cookies look divine! I still need to go to the store in the middle of the week and do a little cleaning and that's it! I finished all of the wrapping yesterday. Not to bad... Hope you and your family enjoy your Christmas holiday together!

Merry Christmas!

Wow! You are amazing woman!! I can't believe you've got all that done.
I think that I just have to wrap some gift and of course, buy some things for Christmas dinner.

(I have so much left to do it isn't even funny, yet I am going to visit in Blogdom because that's what I really want to do.)

You, on the other hand, have made great strides. Look at all those beautiful cookie trays! The Texans are going to feel so very welcomed.

Have a sweet week!

Wow - that is a lot of work. Hope your recipients appreciate your efforts.
The only thing I have left that I know of, is a couple of gifts that are really more of thank you gifts than Christmas, and a trip to a deli.
We had our main event this last weekend.

Such as busy lady! I hope you can stop to enjoy the season.

BTW, this is the first time I've seen your new Christmas blog header. Love it! That may indicate how busy I've been!

Wow, Leann. That was a LOT of work but I'll bet everyone will love the cookies.

Let's see, I have cleaning today, straggler Christmas cards, putting two gingerbread houses together for decorating, and a few last minute gifties.

Lots to do, but I'm sooooo happy. Hope your day is wonderful. Susan

Yummy! Sounds like you are all but ready, which is more than I can say for me! I made a batch of walnut snow balls and a batch of buckeyes today.

I'm doing pretty good with my to-do list. Wish I was getting a new bathroom! Seriously, it's all coming together. Still baking and sewing, but I am calm and pressing on :D

Again, have a most merry Christmas.

Happily, I just don't have loads of last min. things to do at the Holidays, any more. Gives me more time for just enjoying. :-) But I'm "olden" and I "deserve" it. ,-)

Oh "Uncle A." still has things to get done!!!!! But he MAKES gifts, and loves the whole process. :-) He thrives on this last-minute-stuff.

Please pace yourself. I know. "Auntie" is always the Voice Of Be Careful. I know. But someone has to be "Bad Cop" ya' know. :-)

"Did you ever wonder about the Victorian version of sugarplums dancing around every one's head in "A Visit From St. Nicholas"? Sugarplums were exotic sweetmeats, a combination of fruit and nuts, traditionally available only during the holidays."

Those cookies look so good. Sounds like you have a lot left to do. I just have to grocery shop and I am good to go. Good luck with all those scrap pages. Thank you for stopping by today.

My Christmas wish for you, my friend
Is not a simple one
For I wish you hope and joy and peace
Days filled with warmth and sun

I wish you love and friendship too
Throughout the coming year
Lots of laughter and happiness
To fill your world with cheer

May you count your blessings, one by one
And when totaled by the lot
May you find all you've been given
To be more than what you sought

May your journeys be short, your burdens light
May your spirit never grow old
May all your clouds have silver linings
And your rainbows pots of gold

I wish this all and so much more
May all your dreams come true
May you have a Merry Christmas friend
And a happy New Year, too .. xoxo
