With Valentine's Day right around the corner from Christmas I decided to leave my white feather tree up in the dining room. It makes the room so much more festive. I left the antique silver beads on it from Christmas and plan on adding some handmade Valentine ornies.
This weekend Mr OP and I decided to take a little romantic trip to the beach and look for a place to rent for vacation. While we were there we did a little antiquing since it wasn't perfect beach weather:)
That's when I spied, with my little eye this bit of romance. Isn't it beautiful? It's very heavy for it's size which is a little smaller than the palm of my hand. I love the detail on the top too. I wish that they would have had more, I see another collection in my future!
On the way back from the beach we stopped to see Flyboy and LBB. It seems like forever since we last saw them.
So what did you all do this past weekend?

That little heart is adorable. Is it considered mercury glass? I also like your collection of planter heads and I know that there is a nicer name that I can not think of not having yet had my coffee this morning. Hope that you two found a nice possibility for vacation!
Oh I love your new found treasure! Sounds like you had a great weekend. I only had Saturday off, so I spent it at home with the kiddos.
Aww, aren't you clever leaving up that tree. I keep seeing those white feather trees and I'm thinking I need to get one. You could pretty much use it all year. It would be fun as an Easter tree and patriotic tree, too.
Love the little heart ornament you found. I bet it reflects the light beautifully.

What a wonderful relaxing weekend!!! I'm so envious!
Oh, I'm setting my medium-sized tree up, for Valentines Day too!! I wasn't sure if the kids would think their mom had gone nuttier than she already is (0; or WHAT they would think about that; but it appears they like the idea of keeping a year-round tree up as much as I do! I'm so glad!.. Have a great day! ((hugs)) ~tina
Hi Leann...Very pretty heart. Why don't you show us a photo of the white feather tree?
The best (and most shocking) thing I did last weekend was find out I am going to be a grandmother! woo hoo! First time, too.
Take care, Leann, and have a wonderful day. Susan
Oh how pretty that heart shaped ornament is. Perfect for your tree! My mother in law gave me two of those lady head vases. She had many, and gave a lot of them away to a neighbor for helping her move. They are expensive. A romantic vacation sounds great. Hubby and I are planning atrip to Vermont when the weather gets a little cooler. Lots of antique places to visit there. Have a great week.
Hugs,
Debbie
Love your lady head vases! I have one similar to the far right model - in the most glorious shade of blue! I've seen them in the antique shops for between $75 - $250! Got mine at auction for under $40 in a lot!
Thinking of a feather tree for Easter . . . we'll see . . .
Joy!

Look at the gloves! I wasn't quite sure-you are meaning those little ladies are the size of your palm and calling you for a collection? Very cute!
How beautiful! Yes, I'm decorating for Valentine's Day, too. It's such a pretty holiday! I love your "find!"
My weekend was lovely -- the kid's art gallery opening, visiting with dear friends I'd not seen in awhile, and even some movies. Ah! I needed that!
Beautiful Valentine decor!
