Heater woes...

Well this am brought the heater repair men - (3) trucks-full to be exact! We had to have the entire system replaced. I have to commend our company. They were here by 9am and we had heat and hot water by 5pm. Not too bad for a spur of the moment major purchase - gulp!

I had to take a vacation day which I really didn't mind doing because my fibromyalgia has been acting up with the weather changes again (at least that's what I'm attributing it to). I decided to make a pot of Wedding Soup for supper. It was so warm and good - warmed you right up for a little bit anyway.

I had to heat water on the stove top to wash the dishes...interesting. Not something that I'd want to have to do all the time, but it worked for today. I went through a couple pots of coffee too. Holding the cup was a hand warmer and the coffee...well besides loving the excuse to have some, it warmed my innards too.

Hope that you are all safe, warm and cozy tonight.

Glad it worked out, and maybe this new one will be more efficient and you'll feel warmer!

Glad you got it allllll fixed. Sorry it was a major job. -sigh- Lucky our furnace-not-working the other day, was just due to needing new batteries in the thermostat.

Soup! Purrrrrrrrfect idea. :-)

Also sorry about the flare up. Do you keep a kind of a diary of this? Perhaps even to general foods you eat each day, and general telling your activity level, and weather?

I know. A lot to do, on top of all the rest you have to do.

Mmmmmm, I have a *Grumpy* post today. Hope you have time to pop over and read it. :-)

Uggh..we're going to have to replace our furnace soon and I'm not looking forward to that. ($$$'s)
Glad that you got yours all installed and working. Sounds like you had a very nice day-despite all of it going on around you. :)

I've been seeing so much about soup lately! Inspiring me to make some? Hopefully! Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy your day!

Glad you now have heat. The soup looks and sounds so good. I have eaten wedding soup many times, but never attempted to make it myself.
Enjoy your day.

Three trucks?/ Ya! At least it's in and out in a day. We're looking at that job in the next year - still going with the original from 1963! A new one will be so much more energy efficient and save on oil - but we'll be paying for it for a couple of years . . .

Soup looks yum!

Joy!

Hi Leann,
I'm glad you are warm and cozy again. We woke up this morning without heat as well. Someone is coming later to check it out...I'm ready for a warm mug and some toasty slippers.

Leann it's days like your that make us realize how blessed we are with not having to worry about heat or how we will heat water. We have a couple we are helping that have none of the amenities most of us are accustomed to and I have realized just how much I take for granted!

Am so glad your heat got fixed in jiffy time!

THe FM is always much worse in the winter for me too. Ithink i keep more tensed up because of the cold. I have a really big , maybe 14x14 rice bag that a friend made me.Pop that in the microwave - it's my best friend on cold winter days!

Leann, I simply adore Italian Wedding Soup! I had never tasted it until just a couple of years ago and once I did...well, that was it, it became my very favourite soup:-) Would you share your recipe with me? I've never tried to make it myself but would love to know how.

No doubt you're glad the new heating system has been installed!! We take hot water and heat so much for granted, don't we. xoxo

I love having days like that -- wait at home, make soup, hang out. Sounds perfectly divine to me -- and you're all fixed up!

So glad that you have a furnace! What a time for it to be replaced, but then I imagine most furnaces are replaced in the winter months when people are using the danged thing all the time. Hope that there will be some nice benefits beyond warmth like conservation of fuel oil or something. Hope that you are feeling better!

Their work was indeed commendable! Some workers take 2-3 days before the heaters like the ones from heater.com are actually fixed.
