Yeah -we finally got a little snow. It seems like we were getting all of the yucky other things associated with winter - grey skies, cold temps & big oil bills but no snow. This is the perfect kind of snow too.
It's a Saturday so that means we don't have to brave the roads and go out if we don't want to. It's also only about 3 inches and it's the light and fluffy kind so shoveling is a breeze (for Mr OP anyway).
I stayed up a little late last night and got almost all of my housework done knowing that today I could stay in and play in my studio all day if I want to. We'll probably head to the supermarket in a little while. It's not a must, I mean let's face it we have a ton of food and tp, but I like to make comfort food when it snows and I've got the Pioneer Woman's pot roast on my menu for tonight and I need the chuck roast to make that happen.
The top card is for my MIL she retired on the 12th - yeah for her! She's 70+ and we all think that it's about time. How many years till I can retire? Let's see...I don't see us winning the lottery any time soon... since we don't play so I'm thinking... 20yrs - UGH!
Don't get me wrong, I like my job it's just that it gets in the way of having fun (wink). The second card is a birthday card that I made for our niece Taylor, she'll be 18 on Monday. Happy Birthday sweet girl! This last card is just a thinking of you card for our Great Aunt Gladys. She's the last of my Gram's siblings and the sweetest lady you'd ever meet. She lives about 4.5hrs away so I send her cards about once a month (or at least try to).
Happiness, yep that's what I'll close with. Wishing you all happiness on this snowy Saturday!

What a great way to spend a snowy Saturday at home. We had snow..all day..but more like a drizzle snow.I was lazy and played with my Valentine's all day..one load of laundry..I should have scrapped..I have so many creative thoughts in my pea-size brain..I love to scrap..
maybe next snow day...enjoy the weekend..
Sweet cards!
Three inches of snow sounds just right :) I won't mention that we're in the midst of an 'unseasonably warm' week here just now!

Hope that you got your chuck roast in time. We finished up the leftovers day before yesterday...so yummy. I didn't even make homemade mashed potatoes. I just bought a small package for a couple of dollars and nuked them. Easy!
It's making me happy to think of you enjoying PW's roast recipe on a snowy day with a furnace that works and all the crafting accomplished!
You have been busy with pretty results. Grey, dreary, cold day here today, but no snow. Don't want snow but it would be better than the severe weather that is expected tomorrow night. :(
Enjoy your evening.
Love your cards!
I"m going to have to try this pot roast. First Vee, now you.
I'm craving it !!!
((Hugs))

Happiness to you too! And I agree...Work has a way of interfering with a lifestyle!
Pretty cards, sweet that you think to send your Great Aunt the cards, I'm sure it brightens her day to get them. Enjoy your snow, we got the same stuff, hope we don;t get too much more either. I'm kinda liking these snowless months for a change.
Cards are so pretty. That is the kind of snow I like. Pretty and not really on the roads. Or if it comes while I am home and don't have to get out. Have a good week!
Your cards are beautiful! I especially love the red polka dot ribbon. Glad you could stay cozy on a snow day. :)
Hi Leann...Hope you have a nice and relaxing Sunday! Also, I wish YOU and your family lots of happiness today, too. Susan
HI Leann, hey sweet friend...let me look through my stash...I know I have some wedding samplers and I would be HAPPY to send them to you. You might be able to find something you like. I'm slowly destashing all my stash...realizing it would take me 100 years to finish all the projects and cross stitch patterns. Hahaha...I am still trying to get as many done as possible But still! Could you email me your address? I know I probably have it but haven't organized my addresses yet...big smile! Anyhoo...thanks for the sweet comments and your visit!
Blessings,
Debbie
I love the rocking chair card!
Those are beautiful! I wish I had some time to dig into my card making and scrapbooking!!
Oh! Moe enchanting cards. I'd have trouble picking a favorite, although I do like that very simple one with the chair and bow! You've been productive!
