I recently got a few new craft tools. This one is sooo much fun it's a crimper from Stampin' Up!
Crimp: to press into small regular folds; make wavy.
It's easy peasy to use too. You just put the paper into one end, squeeze the trigger to hold the paper and wind the side crank thing. It comes out the other end perfectly crimped.
Crimp: to curl (hair), especially with the use of a curling iron.
I needed a few masculine cards for some up-coming birthdays and love how the argyle looks playing against the golf image. And the crimping of the orange paper just seemed to work.
Crimp: to press or draw together, as the ends of something.
I used the Tim Holtz film strip ribbon instead of a fabric ribbon on this card. I like to think of it as "snapshots" for the Paris theme.
Crimp: to check, restrain, or inhibit; hinder
Speaking of ribbon wait till you see the next card. I bought a Tim Holtz tiny attacher this past summer while we were on vacation.
Attach: to fasten or affix; join; connect: to attach a photograph to an application with a staple.
It's a one handed mini stapler, that works so effortlessly. I had a regular mini stapler but it didn't have the reach that I wanted.
Attach: to join in action or function; make part of: to attach oneself to a group.
The paper that I used for my images came from my "Scrap Stash Swap" partner Jane. It's a Graphic 45 line called "Sporting Aristocrat."
Attach: to include as a quality or condition of something
So my big question is... has anyone out there every "crimped" their hair? I never did.

It must be similar to our curling irons ... and your crimping looks like fun!
Oh, Leanne, that's so funny - I was thinking, "oh, that's Graphic 45 paper - I have some of that" - and then got to the part where you said I sent it to you in the swap! Haha - what fun that swap was! I'm enjoying using yours too :)
Well, I LOVE my paper crimper too! But hair? Seems like I can remember a time when people did that, but can't remember when it was.
Have a good weekend! xoxo Jane
Hi Leann,
Love these cards! I do agree about the arglye paper. It looks perfect for that card. That crimper looks like fun. Hummm, I might have to get one of those. My daughter used to crimp her hair. I hated it! lol
Hugs,
Debbie
Love, love, love the cards! The crimper really adds a special touch.
Hi Leann:-) My goodness, I've been so lax at visiting but today I'm catching up with everyone!! It's to friggin' cold to go outside today so I'm staying in! lol It was -13F when I got up this morning but now it's -6F, still frigid.
I LOVE that card you made with the crimping!! It's amazing the tools they have out there for making cards, scrapbooking, etc. I like the idea of that stapler as well, as you say so many times you need one with a longer reach. I crimped my hair once years ago when it was the style and what a disaster! lol My hair is too thick, it looked like I had an afro underneath the crimping! Give me a flat iron any day! lol
Have a wonderful weekend my friend:-) xoxo
P.S. Omigosh, keep forgetting to thank you for the recipe you sent me of your Italian Wedding Soup, will give it a try soon!!
You got some handy little tools! Pretty cards. Some times it is hard to find nice masculine looking cards in the stores. Never crimped my hair, but my daughter did. :D
Enjoy your weekend. Very cold here.:(
I love my crimper - never crimped my hair though but my daughter used to. I really liked the graphics you used for the masculine cards. Those are the kind I have the most trouble with. You've given me some new ideas - thanks!

I was the Queen of Hair Crimping back in the 80's. :)
Love those cards! They look amazing!

My daughter went through a phase in 5th grade and I would crimp her hair for her, it looked pretty cute. I love your crimping tool and your cards are awesome! Love the golf one and love that TH filmstrip, so cool!
You have so much fun!!!!!!!!
And that's what it's all about!!! :-)
Crimped my hair? Oh no! But "grands" must have some time along the way. Personally, I don't care for crimped hair. But that's just Ol' me. ,-)
"Auntie"
Great cards and love the crimping :)
Beautiful! I love how the crimped paper looks.
I used to crimp, curl, perm, whatever to my hair when I was younger. I'm cursed with straight as a board hair and I've generously passed that on to my kids.
No curl in my hair that hasn't been held there with either a gallon of hair spray or perming solution.
I'm happy with it flat now.
Those are WONDERFUL! I especially love that Tim Holtz film ribbon -- haven't seen that!
