Pappy's Happy

We had a great birthday celebration with my Dad yesterday  - 70 years young. He loved being the center of attention:)

Chuck's girls are the apple of his eye. My Dad watched them everyday from the time their Mum went back to work when they were six weeks old until they went to kindergarten. My Mum still worked at the time so he volunteered.

Talk about a special bond! We made his favorite dinner for his celebration - stuffed pork chops. When he said grace he mentioned our guys and their girls not being able to be there to celebrate. It's times like these when we are all together that I miss our guys the most. They all called him at some point during the day. When we were leaving Dad blew me a kiss from the deck. Both of my parents say how blessed they are. But you know what?  We all are!

What a precious post.

Belated Happy Birthday to your Dad.

Ahhh yes, the bonding of Grandparents who took care of "Grands" while they were little. Here, we kept it up, right into HS. After school and vacations.
