Flyboy's Good News

Flyboy received lots of good news this week. He got official notification of Dean's list from last semester.

It takes a lot of studying and giving up a lot of free time, but he's so loving school and the aviation program.

Yesterday he was finally able to take his test with the FAA for his instrument rating. That means that he'll be able to fly in fog, through clouds and at night. He passed with flying colors (wink). We are soo very proud of him!

What do you think of my mini-dress form? This was so fun to make. I'm so glad that I bought Karla's tutorial. I'm planning on making a few of these for gifts.

I've got a lot of ideas on how to make the differently and give them their own personality.

My pink Gerbera daisy is doing really well on the kitchen table. It must be getting the right amount of light. It's 3 weeks old and still looks great! I'm itchin to plant things outside, but I know it's just too early around here. I'll wait a few more weeks and then plant some things on the front and back porches.

Have you planted anything outside yet?

I'm playing along with Beverly this week for some Pink Saturday fun. Be sure to stop over and see what's going on there.

Congratulations to your son!! I know he is so proud and you are also. You have good reason to be.
Like the dress form! Started to buy a gerber daisy last weekend -s orta wished I had. I have planted several pots with annuals. Sure hope we don't have another frost, as I don't want to have to bring all that in.

Hi Leann...I bought muscari and tulip bulbs last fall and had my hubs plant them in a round flower garden in the front yard. They are popping up and I'm so excited. They are, however, still covered with chickenwire to keep the doggone squirrels out.

However, it's very cold tonight and snow is forecast. I'm SO AFRAID my beloved flowers are going to bite the dust but we shall see.

Take care. Congrats to your son! That's quite an accomplishment. Susan

Yes, I do like your mini dress form. Very sweet. My little primrose is still going strong. Wonder if I could hang onto a Gerbera.

Three cheers for Flyboy! Planting outside -- I don't suppose the garlic and bulbs outside count. I'm still too nervous here in Michigan -- starting some things inside, and we'll probably put them outdoors when we're back from France. Can't wait!

It snowed her last weekend so, I think I'll have to wait awhile to plant anything. ;)
