More Planning at The Old Parsonage

Well since I've been a bad blogger this week I once again went back in my photo archives and pulled out a few oldies but goodies. The crocus are blooming throughout the yard, but I haven't been out to snap any photos this year or pick them for that matter. That's one of the things on my list to do this weekend.

Flyboy and LBB have decided not to get married in Mexico, so this weekend we are going with them to look at wedding venues. I'm so excited that we are included in the planning, we are the parents of the groom and it's not always so. I LOVE my future daughter's in law just like they were my own children. They make our boys soo happy!

50 Days to 50 Years update: I only need to buy 24 more gifties (small gifts or tokens). People have started sending back the shipping tags for Mr OP's "Remember When" book too. I'll snap a few photos to show you my progress on things.

Enjoy your weekend!

Oh I am so glad that your kiddies are NOT going to get married in Mexico. Good gracious am I ever glad.

I know I am extra cautious but... With all the violence connected with the drug cartels, I just can't imagine anyone voluntarily going there. Sad for the good people, yes. But self preservation is good too.

And so nice that all of you, will be included in the wedding planning. Lovely way to begin a relationship. :-)

Your crocuses are so gorgeous...mine are still under a foot of snow! lol This morning it's 5F so Spring seems so far away yet. At least with the time change tonight, I look forward to longer daylight hours:-)

That's wonderful that the wedding won't be taking place in Mexico! It will be so much easier for everyone to come to the wedding. I missed my oldest son's wedding because they got married in Mexico and I won't fly plus couldn't really afford to go:-( You'll have so much fun helping to plan!! xoxo

Has your hubby caught on to any of the big doings? Hope that he doesn't read your blog... Oh the looking for venues sounds wonderful. A local wedding is always so much easier to plan.

That's wonderful about your son and wedding plans! You have so much to look forward to! And your flowers are pretty no matter how old! Better to enjoy the moments rather than photograph them anyway! Keep having a good weekend!

So glad you can be included in the wedding planning. That'll make it all the more fun!

Lovely crocus, even if they're not this year's! Coming soon to Michigan, with today's 60s!

Leann,
I love the way the centers of the crocuses match the color of the glass basket. Wonderful.
Turning 50 is wonderful - I did it last year, and though I was dreading it, it turned out to be one of the best years ever! So you can pass that on to Mr. O.P.
Have a great week!
