I've been busy turning this tower of paper boxes into a cake for Mr OP's birthday - I don't think it'll get stale, do you ;). I'm going to add little gifts inside each of the layers.
I've been getting a lot of tags back for his "Remember When" book from family and friends. Today a friend of his from the Air Force (30 years ago) sent their tags back along with some great photos - LOVE IT!
One other thing that I wanted to share was that My Uncle Bruce died suddenly last Sunday. He was a wonderful man and Christian and will be greatly missed by our family. Love you Uncle Bruce!

Oif the secondhoto is the decorated cake, it is beautiful. You are wonderfully spoiling your husband with all this celebration prep...I'm sure he deserves it. And he must not read your blog!
That cake is a great idea! What flavor is it? (LOL - I couldn't resist!)
I love your lilac photos you played with! They are GORGEOUS. My lilac didn't get enough sun this year so no blooms. I need to move it! Maybe this fall. I just had to pin that one picture on the blue and white platter. Absolutely gorgeous I say!
That is some tower cake! Looking good!
I'm so sorry about your Uncle Bruce! So hard to lose a loved one even though we know we'll meet againl
xoxo Jane

The cake tower looks like such fun!
My sympathy on the passing of your Uncle. The quote is the perfect reminder that there is always light in the darkness. Am going to contemplate the message today.
Please accept my condolences on the death of your dear uncle, Leann. May he rest in sweet peace in the other realm of life, and wait for you until you meet again. Susan
