Flyboy and Little Bride to Be surprised me with this beautiful purple hyacinth on Easter - my favorite Easter flower! It makes the whole house smell wonderfully like Easter. I've found that people either love the smell or hate it. Me, I LOVE it!
While I was in the way back I saw that the bluebells were blooming too and snipped a few of the delicate stems for a mini arrangement.
I've got all the Easter decor down and ready to go back into the attic. I'm ready for spring, but the weather around here doesn't seem to know what it wants to do. We've got a frost warning for tonight, so I'm glad that I haven't planted any of my pots yet.
What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

Chilly with no sign of flowers. Frost? Really? Good thing that you haven't planted yet. Your spring flowers look terrific.
Those white flowers aren't daisies-they are narcissus..in the daffodil family. Lovely.
That was a nice surprise. I have smelled hyacinths that smell and good and some that don't - don't know what the difference is. The grocery had some before Easter, but the smell was not pleasant.
Got down to low 40's last night and on cool side today, but think the temps go back up tomorrow. Daughter is about 10 miles from me and they had heavy frost last night.
Hi Leann....I'm with you...hyacinths are gorgeous. They are among my very favorite flowers. I bought myself two pink ones this Easter season.
Weather here is cray-zee.....it's cold again. Hope it doesn't snow. Susan
Pretty flowers and pretty Hall vases too!
Hyacinths smell so wonderful! I have a couple of them blooming outside that scent the air beautifully.
Our lilac has just started blooming, so I pick one or 2 each day to bring inside.
It certainly has gotten chilly here too! It's like after the summer comes fall-kind-of-welcome as March was SO hot! It's perfect weather but our blooms of spring are almost over. Your flowers are sure pretty! Enjoy!
