What makes a Happy Home? I love to take care of my family. For me, creating a home that is warm and inviting, where everyone feels welcome is pure joy! The smell of fresh laundry just in off the clothesline, a neat and tidy home and garden, a good home cooked meal, a few desserts here and there, the love of family, friends and fellowship all help to make our home a Happy Home. Join me as we celebrate the holidays, the birthdays and the every days!

Yesterday

We had such a wonderful Easter yesterday. Flyboy and Little Bride to Be were here for about 2 hrs after church and then went to dinner with her family. We have to keep it fair with holiday time now:) I sent along an extra Paska that I made. I forgot to snap a photo before it was wrapped up.

We gave the kids a gift certificate to the movies instead of an Easter basket this year. I couldn't resist making this gift card holder when I found this photo old photo of Flyboy. He was 8mos - he walked by 9mos. Our Little Bride to Be loved it and wants to make it into a magnet!

My parents, MIL and my brother were here with us for dinner. I missed  having kids around - they do add to the fun of a holiday. I'm off today and plan on doing some crafting, cleaning and laundry - in that order:) Have a wonderful week my friends!

Happy you had a lovely Easter Day, with family. Our family dinner was very yummy and nice, too. :-)

Ohhhhh, what a cute card!

Mmmmm, what did "Fly Boy" think of it, I wonder? -giggggles-

Hello sweet friend! Thanks for stopping by. I didn't get to wish my friends a happy Easter, because I am sick with some kind of bug. Woke up Friday so dizzy. We didn't celebrate Easter, as I didn't feel up to it, and didn't want to make everyone else sick. Glad you had a nice time! that picture is just darling. I love the pics of my husband when he was little. I have them all over the house. I had hoped for a son just like him, but I have 3 beautiful daughters, and 2 grandsons! Hope you are feeling well these days.

Hugs,
Debbie

Ohhhhh, so glad you had a nice Easter, too, Leann. I wondered what the Paska was! It looks like a Polish "babka." It has currents in it? Hmmmmmm. Now I'm curious.

Thanks for all your visits and comments to my blog, too.

I'm tired today but still working a bit. Thanks be to God to keep on going. Glad you are off. Susan

I meant to make Paska but didn't get around to it. I've never had it before but it sounds good. Ah well, there's always next year, right?

Sounds like you had a lovely holiday. I LOVE that gift card holder. LOL Too cute.

Ha! Ha! Ha! CRAFTING FIRST!! I like that!.. Just wanted to say I hope you had a wonderful Easter.. It sounds like you did, but I know what you mean, with having to share the holidays as the kids get older. I was glad Dear Daughter made time for BOTH families this year, AND that they found the room in their stomachs for lunch with the future in-laws, and THEN a big dinner, four hours later, at MY house!... Have a great week! So glad we're just finally starting to see the weather warming back up again! What a tease Mother Nature can be sometimes! ~tina
