I have several sets of matryoshka or nesting dolls. But this set is my favorite. It is very light weight and intricately decorated.
From Wikipedia:
A set of matryoshkas consists of a wooden figure which separates, top
from bottom, to reveal a smaller figure of the same sort inside, which
has, in turn, another figure inside of it, and so on. The number of
nested figures is traditionally at least five, but can be much more, up
to several dozen with sufficiently fine craftsmanship.
Do you have any matryoshka?

Hi Leann....Well, you know I have some as I've posted on them, remember? They are SO lovely and most are quite colorful. Remember that entire kiosk of them in the mall in Boston? Love the ones you showed. Susan
No. I have none, though I've always been intrigued by them.
Oh how beautiful!!!
