You know me and planning - we go hand and hand! Can you imagine how excited I was to find Kerryanne English's site - Shabby Art Boutique?! There on her home page in the upper right-hand corner is a link to a FREE printable Blog Planner.
Even if you don't make the planner, all of the pages are 8.5 x 11 and the calendar pages are great for everyday use too. The fonts are easy to read and it prints in B&W so you don't use a ton of ink.
It makes total sense to me to use her printables and make a plan. I do soo much better with a plan don't cha know? I don't know about the rest of you, but sometimes it's hard for me to come up with ideas to post. Using a planner enables me to plan posts and then make lists of things to photograph or do it the other way around.
I'm not sure that I'll use all of her pages, but the prompts are a good way to think about blogging. I've been a kind of hit or miss blogger. But it's what suits my lifestyle. If I had all day to do as I please then I would spend a lot more time creating blog posts and visiting all the great eye candy out there. I like blogging the way I do, and think that we shouldn't put pressure on ourselves to "keep up with the Jones'" so to speak.
Moving on to another subject...Does anyone out there buy from E-bay or Etsy? I won a few things on E-bay last week and have my eye on a few things on Etsy. I love the ease of shopping on-line.
Plus the added thrill of bidding on E-bay is exciting. I have a budget in mind when I bid and never go over it, no matter how tempting.
I made my own cover for my planner, and used two binder rings to keep it all together. The chandy crystal is a vintage one and so is the lace at the bottom (it's from a wedding dress), but everything else is just vintage inspired. That's the beauty of if, you can tailor it to your own personal style from making the planner to using it!
Does anyone else use a planner for blogging?

Since I am at the time, in my life, where I have lots of time-for-me, I don't need to plan blog entries. "My stuff" just seems to pop-into-my-head. For better or for worse. -grin-
At times, I do think of a possible topic, and jot it down in my notebook, so I won't forget it. (Lots of forgetting goes on in "olden" years, when one has more time for blogging! -grin-)
But I mostly don't have to think-much, to blog. Actually, I have way tooooooooo many blogging ideas, perhaps. I may well overload my daily blog entries. Making it difficult for Dear Readers. -sigh-
But! There is only One Blogging Rule! To do all of it, as it feels good to/for us. :-) So, onward I go. In my own way.
And the cover you made for that planning, is BEEEEEEAUTIFUL!

Love this idea Leann, and just might give it a try, when time permits.. But that's just IT for ME, really; the biggest challenge is just to FIND the TIME to blog. I LOVE blogging when I can, but to post takes a good amount of time, between the writing AND the photography, then the editing of both. Maybe a planner would make things easier, between coming up with ideas, rough drafts, swaps, etc., etc... Yours came out beautiful!! LOVE it! Thanks for sharing the link.. Stay warm, and have a great weekend! ~tina
Just as I know that you would love such a thing, you probably know that I fly by the seat of my pants. I can't imagine anything being more of a joy killer for me even as I know that it is really floating your boat. I do love the beauty of it as it is a very pretty thing. Now a garden journal, THAT I could get into. Happy planning!
I love this idea!!
I think that Debra over at common ground was featured once on A Delightsome Life and used a planner for her Linky party that she runs....
Hugs,
Deb
Hi Leann. Now that's something I never thought about, a blog planner.
My blog is so much a part of my life that I just share what's going on, on a daily basis.
If I have a little time to spare, I'll photograph and write posts in advance and store them.
It's nice to have them there to use when my "outside blogging" schedule fills to the brim.
I love your lace and bauble, by the way. Very, very pretty.
Take care and have a nice Saturday.
The cover is very pretty!! I use to! Shortly after I started blogging, I made planners - then they fell by the wayside. Just did not keep up with them.:/ Always ended up with "notes" everywhere instead.
When I worked everything was organised to a degree but now I more or less do things as I feel the urge, I do like it, it's a lovely feeling of freedom.
Merle.......
