Have you taken down all of your Christmas decorations? I know a few people who still have their tree up - the tree is artificial of course. How nice to be able to enjoy it as long as you like.
The weekend was pretty uneventful. Saturday morning, we went to the market and then to Walmart for cat food and litter. Walmart's prices are a lot less expensive for those kinds of things. Flyboy and LBB stopped over for lunch. While they were here we looked at wedding invitations and talked about flowers. They are trying to get the cost of the flowers down a bit. Any suggestions for inexpensive centerpiece flowers?
I feel so blessed to be included in the planning of their special day! They are so in love, you can see it in the looks that they have for each other. You can almost feel the LOVE. It makes me soo happy!
I made roast chicken for supper on Saturday, then made stock from the carcass. I like to make a meal stretch and making stock from the bones of a chicken is a meal that keeps on giving.
I froze (2) quarts worth. I like to know what I'm feeding my family and by making my own stock I know exactly what we are eating when I use it.
This week is going to be a roller coaster of weather. Today we're getting snow, ice and rain and by Wednesday it's supposed to get into the 60's.
What did you do this weekend!

HI Leann, Love those hearts you showed. We are freezing here...it snowed again last night. Our pipes didn't freeze thank goodness. We have had a lot of days without water and having to get ready....yikes. I did get all the Christmas put away finally...what a job. It was like a complete remodel...so much work...but well worth it!
Have a blessed week.
Debbie
Not too much...in answer to the question.
I have no ideas on flowers, though I know that you will have some readers who do. Pinterest has got to be a friend in this kind of planning.
Speaking of Wal*Mart...they have artificial trees on sale and I almost bought a four foot one for $4. I thought I could use it somewhere, but couldn't figure out where. Then I thought of it...two places I could have used it. Maybe the price will drop even lower.
Christmas is down here, other than some Faerie Lights on Garland. :-)
And Valentine's Day has taken over. :-)
I like to replace lots of RED, with more of lots of RED. In winter. :-)
Crazy weather due here too. Be safe, in it.

That is so sweet that they're so in love!!! What a blessing!
We finally got the two big Christmas tree boxes OUT of the dining room! My grandbaby loves having more room to roam now.
I love that crocheted heart. Did you make it? I think homemade stock is always so much better than the carton. I am looking forward to a warm up but the big chill returns at the end of the week.
I have seen a plant as a centerpiece, with a couple of roses in individual tubes added to it. A fern and roses looked pretty. Also I've seen just votive candles in a pattern with rose petals in between. Also looked beautiful. xo
Hi Leann....Love that last crocheted heart.
I like your candy boxes, too.
This past weekend I had a delightful catch-up day at home and made lots of progress in organizing and cleaning.
On Sunday, went to church and tagged along at a couple stores with my daughter and granddaughter.
Then, made a delicious pork roast dinner with daughter and son-in-law joining my husband and I. It was delish. Also made roast potatoes, orange/honey carrots and salad.
Date nut bread for dessert.
Take care and have a good week. Snow's coming down like crazy here. Susan
Our daughter ordered flowers from a wholesaler, then a friend did the arrangements, augmenting with wildflowers, etc. Their wedding was last March.
I liked the planners 2 posts back. I do have a clipboard that I keep week of lists on, and update with a new list each week. Definitely a list maker! Your planner is beautiful.
The mercury glass heart on this post is wonderful.
How exciting is Flyboy's wedding approaching?!
Love that crocheted heart. If you made it can you share directions? I like candles for centerpiece...don't like it too tall so you can see the people across the table. I love putting cancels inside votive holders inside canning jars, depending how formal you want it to be. Maybe a small vase of flowers next to it.. But several jars on each table each tied w ith a ribbon could be plenty ... Even on a mirror.
Oh yes, all Christmas goodies are put away. I've never made my own stock. I should try it though. I go through so much every week. Right now my boys are stuck on chicken noodle soup. I use 4 cans or 2 boxes a pop.
Beautiful hearts Leann. ~Diane
