The call of Chocolate

Am I using Valentine's Day as an excuse to buy chocolate? Nope, I buy it pretty much every week. Not enough to fill all three of these vintage candy dishes, but at least one bag. I love to have a piece after supper. It's just enough to take the edge off of wanting to eat the entire bag. I keep the dishes on the buffet in the dining room. That way we have to make an effort to get up and get a piece. If they were in the living room, it'd be too easy.

These Dove raspberry chocolates call out to me. I love raspberry anything, and black raspberry ice cream is my favorite! But when you add chocolate to raspberry I swoon.

Our nieces love to stop by during the holidays because they know that Auntie kicks her chocolates up a notch. I either make my own or buy a few different kinds. I may make some chocolate covered pretzels tomorrow night for Valentine's Day (if I have the time).

They are calling for a couple of inches of snow late tomorrow night - but I'll believe it when I see it. Our local weather stations predicted 3-6 inches during the Nor'easter. We barely got a dusting!

So tell me, what's your favorite candy?

Oh this reminded me that my daughter loves Dove dark chocolate. I think that's what she'll get for Valentine's Day.

Hi Leann.....Nice you provide chocolate for your family.

I couldn't have it available all the time cuz it wouldn't matter WHERE I put it....even up in the attic or down in the cellar....I'm be after it. ha!

As for a favorite? Ahhhh, now that's a tough one to answer. I love chocolate of any kind----truffles, Snickers bars, fudge, you name it. If it's chocolate, it's a fav.

See why I have difficulty getting weight off? C-O-M-P-U-L-S-I-V-E.

Happy (Early) Valentine's Day! Susan

I'm a chocolate girl, too. Majorly. I love raspberry and chocolate together ~ one of my favorite combinations.

Yum - You got some of the good stuff! I still have some chocolate hanging around here left over from Christmas - I am trying to be good. :D I may still need to hit the sale isle Friday. You know - a back up supply. :)

Your pretty glass jars with chocolates are so tempting! I can't keep chocolate in the house b/c my hubby is diabetic. I usually have a chocolate treat when I'm at work :) out of sight out of mind! I got my hubby some sugar free hershey chocolates and a gift card for the movies and he was pretty happy! Thanks for sharing, Happy Pink Saturday!
hugs,
Lisa
