Seeing this beautiful hot air balloon while we were driving to Kutztown on Saturday was an omen. An omen that it was going to be a beautiful day for my birthday!
We went from Renninger's in Kutztown, where we had breakfast in the Farmer's Market (I had a breakfast of champions - a well done, kinda burnt looking hot dog with sauerkraut and onions - no bun) to Adamstown where we shopped at Shupp's Grove and many other antique stores.
There were so many cool things to look at, but only a few things really peeked my interest and my price range.
I always love to see how things are displayed too. If things are in a jumbled mess and I have to really root through them I may not always stop - depends on my mood that day. I have found some really great treasures while rooting though.
We stopped at a really great Italian restaurant on the outskirts of town for a late lunch. I was a good girl at lunch and had a salad:)
We ended up stopping at Weaver's Store on our way home. Mr OP loves their selection of fishing and hunting supplies. I love the drive, so many corn fields, farms and road side stands. It's so much nicer than traveling the highway to get home.
We went out for Chinese for supper with the newlyweds. I didn't want anything fancy, just some good food. There's a local place that we love to go to, it's not greasy and the service is wonderful.
When was the last time you went out for Chinese food?
